Women around the world will be celebrating this morning with the news that George Clooney isn't engaged after all.

On Monday we picked up a story circulating in the Italian press that our favourite Hollywood bachelor was finally planning to settle down with new girlfriend, Sarah Larson. However, George's rep says that's not the case at all.

'These reports are not true,' Clooney's rep in LA, Stan Rosenfield, tells People magazine.

Marriage rumours about the two seemed inevitable after George invited Sarah to accompany him to this year's Oscars – the very first time he'd been seen on the Academy Awards red carpet with a girlfriend.

The pair have been dating for just under a year after meeting in Las Vegas.

I don't get it...I've never found him particularly fabulously attractive! And since he's going grey and lined, why can't he find someone of a more suitable age to have his past-it flings with????!
