Nationwide competition for most inspiring fundraiser
The search is on for Britain's most inspirational fundraiser after the launch of a nationwide competition by charity search engine, everyclick.com.
The competition is being held in memory of the late Jane Tomlinson, who raised over £1.75 million for cancer charities by competing in various races, whilst battling breast cancer.
Everyclick.com is a unique search engine where every time a search is made, money is donated to the charity of the users choice. So far, everyclick has raised a whopping £400,000 for UK charities.
Colleagues and friends can nominate their favourite unsung heroes in their community, who have gone beyond the call of duty, raising money for good causes. The winner will walk away with £20,000 to donate to the charity of their choice.
Mike Tomlinson, Jane's widower, who has backed the competition, commented: 'I'm so proud of what Jane achieved. She was just an ordinary woman who made a big difference to the causes she cared about. That's why I'm supporting Everyclick.com in its search to find Britain's Most Inspirational Fundraisers - people just like Jane, who volunteer their time and energies to perform vital fundraising.'
To nominate your unsung hero go to www.everyclick.com. The closing date for the competition is 28 March.
