Mobile phone coaching system
Rex Features
If you can't afford your own personal trainer, then the latest mobile phone that promises to get you fit, could be the next best thing.
The miCoach is the new must-have accessory for anybody wanting to lose the pounds and needs the incentive to get them going.
Samsung and Adidas have teamed up to create a virtual trainer as part of your phone and MP3 player. The 'total coaching system' monitors your heart, checks how far you run and how many calories you burn.
You might want to switch to silent mode, however, when the 'motivational' comments kick in, in a grating, chirpy American accent.
Be prepared to run a mile at top speed first for the phone to assess your fitness levels, key in your age and weight, then brace yourself for the punishing regime it recommends: there are over 200 programmes to follow.
There's no slacking either; you can download every workout session, so your 'trainer' can assess your progress every step of the way.
