THE TREATMENT: THE ULTIMATE LUXURY PEDICURE
Of all the innovative beauty treatments available these days, as far as I'm concerned nothing can beat a classic pedicure. Although toes aren't getting much of an outing with the British summer failing to put in an appearance, if you're jetting abroad for some sun, then getting your feet buffed and ready is crucial.
The Anita Lawrence salon which is already renowned for its haircuts and colours, has opened a new tranquil beauty spa downstairs.
Just like the infamous US nail bar salons, here you can kick back in a huge, padded massage chair and soak your feet in a warm jacuzzi bath filled with Essie marine sea salts.
The pedicure (£40 for 75 minutes) using all Essie Spa products consists of nail shaping, cuticle work, hard skin removal and my personal favourite – an indulgent massage and hydrating mask. If you've just had your pay cheque then for an extra £20 and 30 minutes add the aromatherapy foot treatment using either Ginger and Black Pepper or Moroccan Rose oil.
Top it off with a slick of this season's neon bright Essie nail polish and you'll be ready to slip on summer sandals and strut in St Tropez… or the like.
