Despite casting Duris, the sexiest French actor of the moment, this attempt to dramatise the 'lost months' in the early life of the playwright is a farce for all the wrong reasons. As Moliere falls for the wife of an aristocrat who bails him out of debt, it's more like a Gallic Shakespeare in Love, only more shrill. Save your money for when Tartuffe next comes on stage.
