Marie Claire's Prix d’Excellence de la Beauté Awards

Chanel, Clarins, YSL, Estée Lauder… no, not the beauty hall of Harvey Nic’s but just some of the winners of our annual Prix d’Excellence Beauty Awards held on Monday night.

With a guest-list reading like a who’s who of the beauty world, the event was held in the suitably glamorous ballroom of Claridge's and, despite what we would like people to believe, us beauty girls are (relatively) un-high-maintenance on a day-to-day basis so it was nice for us to escape the office and don our party frocks for a few hours.

I had the glamorous task of handing the awards to our Editor Marie (who was evidently unaware of my propensity for clumsiness!) and was on stage alongside Kirsty Gallagher who was presenting the awards (and who looked just as stunning in real-life – as did Jemma Kidd who was amongst the guests to represent her make-up range.)

I am please to report that I did not drop any of the awards as I had initially envisioned and a good time was evidently had by all – especially those who walked away with an (intact) award! (For a list of all the winners, click here.)
