TOM CRUISE MAY BUY DAVID BECKHAM'S NEW CLUB
TOMKAT AND THE Beckhams firmly sealed their friendship last weekend when Tom and Katie Cruise showed up to support Beckham's final match for Real Madrid and see his team take the Spanish league title.
Now the not-so-new best friends are entering new territory with reports that Tom Cruise is launching a £40 million takeover bid of Beckham's new football club, LA Galaxy.
The football star will officially join the club next month on a five-year deal, which netted him a cool £128 million.
As Cruise, 44, is a huge football fan he has allegedly decided he wants to plough his money into the up and coming LA football club.
A source close to Cruise said: 'To have Tom's backing would be amazing - there's no way Galaxy bosses would turn down that opportunity.'
Meanwhile the removal vans arrived at the Beckhams' Madrid home yesterday, showing the move across the pond to Los Angeles is well underway. (21 June 2007)
