Bonnie-On-Sky, London

A three week seafood supper club in the nation’s capital

Bonnie-On-Sky - Platterform's collaboration with Bonnie Gull - was a three-week pop-up seafood supperclub in the heart of London.

The Skyroom near London Bridge, which just happens to have gorgeous views of our fair capital, was transformed into a seaside retreat that offered only the freshest, responsibly sourced seafood from Britain’s shores.

The mark of any good restaurant is a limited yet quality menu, seeing that Bonnie-On-Sky only offered two starter options and two main courses was a tell-tale sign that this pop-up was one of pure class (the complimentary welcome cocktail was another clue). Whether you chose the Isle of Lewis mussels steamed with Aspall cider and Cumbrian bacon; whole Devon crab with brown meat mayonnaise, or the classic beer-battered whiting with chunky chips, mushy peas and handmade tomato ketchup, you were in for a fish-tastic treat.

Having recreated a remarkably chic version of the British seaside, the Skyroom was clad in deck chairs and charming pier-esque paraphernalia, making for a very welcome break from the London chaos down below.

On the back of the incredible success of Bonnie-On-Sky, Platterform continue their residency at the Skyroom by launching The London Picnic Club.

Throughout the duration of the Olympics, those Londoners suffering from Games fatique can relax and unwind on a blanket as they delve into a delicious picnic hamper, containing St. John's Bakery artisanal breads, Neil's Yard Dairy cheeses, Spanish and Italian charcuterie, home-made preserves and dips, fresh fruits and desserts, take part in some traditional garden games or just kick back by watching a classic movie on the mini screen.

For more information visit The London Picnic Club site.

Bonnie-On-Sky will be opening as a permanent restaurant in September, The Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack. Check the website for updates.
