Christmas markets 2012
Get into the festive (and shopping) spirit with these adorable destinations from the UK and Europe that’ll get you feeling Christmassy in a flash
Liseberg market, Gothenburg, Sweden
If you’re going to visit a Christmas market then it’s got to be the biggest and most beautiful, right? Well if this gorgeous image doesn’t convince you to head to the Swedish city then perhaps the fact it’s the largest market in Scandinavia might. Set to the backdrop of Liseberg’s Amusement Park, featuring over 700 Christmas trees, there are just over 100 stalls selling arts and crafts as well as the obligatory food stalls serving traditional marzipan pigs and glogg (spiced wine.) After all the shopping you can unwind on the ice rink!
Entrance: 90 SEK (£8)
Open: 25 Nov – 23 Dec
