Monday, 15th October. Felix Baumgartner of Austria set the world record for skydiving an estimated 39 kilometres, reaching an estimated speed of 833.9mph out of a capsule carried by a giant helium balloon. Baumgartner wore a full pressure suit made by the same company that prepares the flight suits of astronauts. It took him over 2 hours to reach the correct hight, and just 10 minutes for him to descend.
