I was so, so pleased and enthused that you have taken being 'green' so seriously! I bought your magazine 2 days ago and have read it from cover to cover! I loved it!
I sincerely hope the Fashion with a Heart will continue to feature.
There are so many fabulous online boutiques and fair trade/green/ethical companies out there. Previously I always searched on directories such as Living Ethically, Green England and New Consumer. I found great fair trade boutiques such as www.bobelle.co.uk, www.ethicsgirls.co.uk and www.organiclinker.com. All of these are fantastic and I are perfect for gifts. However I really found your ethical and gren beauty sections of particular interest!

well done to marie claire, i have only bought your mag today because it's gone green! i hope the paper bag stays. after reading 'Green is the new black' I have tried to become an ethical consumer (possibly an oxymoron there!) and feel i still have a lot to improve on.
I am going to try to encourage our economy driven Prime Minister to do the same, it's shocking how many eco 'promises' that man has failed to fulfil... it cannot be all about money Gordon, cash will be no good if there is no world left to enjoy!
one thing that did get my goat in this month's issue... why are you still allowing such unethical ads in your mag?? cars, dove (who use palm oil), loreal with their dodgy animal testing history, matalan and the £5 undies.... i know you need ads to get the mag out there but is there any future of abolishing unethical ads??? it just felt a little bit contradictory...

I recycle as much as I can and try to take public transport where possible. I've just returned from a trip to Bath on the train and it was much more relaxing than battling with the bank holiday traffic; not too expensive either. I've also changed over to low energy lightbulbs, which are no longer the garish, flickery things they used to be. I can't tell the difference and am now saving loads of cash. I do wish magazines used more recycled materials though. Is this possible or do i need to resort to online mags only???

I have to say I'm finding the June issue a great source of info as I am trying to shop ethically in the future.
I am also impressed by the introduction of a recyclable, paper bag to hold the luscious free gift! The degradable plastic bag used before was a welcomed step in the right direction, but I feel that a paper bag is a lot easier for readers to recycle/compost.

To help do my bit for the environment my friends and I are going camping in North Yorkshire this summer (fingers crossed for good weather!). I will also try to change the world by working with my fabulous friends/colleagues Hanneke and Rachel to launch our eco-fashion label si:su's first collection (S/S 09).

To help do my bit for the planet, I'm trying to get every couple who contracts me to organize their wedding to do at least one thing on their wedding day that will make a difference. These are some of the things they could consider - use local food, buy British grown flowers, source seasonally, have all their waste recycled, donate their decorations to a local hospice, cut down their and their guests travel, honeymoon in the UK, send e-invites, buy UK made outfits and jewellery. I live in Scotland and I now try to take the sleeper or train not plane, when travelling south but Scotrail needs to help too. My last sleeper was an hour and a half late into Euston.

To do my bit for the planet i am planning to walk more, and use reuseable bags at the supermarket.. - Unfortunatly i bought the latest Marie Claire and didnt get the body butter which i was looking forward to! Ahh well it just means ill have to raid the body shop instead!!
