Ibiza weekender in 48 hours you say? Sure, read on for our pick of Ibiza's hippest places to hang out and live like a local, even if it is only for 48 hours.

Hands down, Ibiza is the destination du jour for the fashion set, I mean who doesn't love a cheeky Ibiza weekender? From hidden beaches only accessible by yacht to vintage markets and beachside boutiques, the world renowned island isn't just about 36 hour parties and vodka luges' - although, we wouldn't say no to either of those.

Forget what you think you know about the hallowed Balearic Island, and take a look at our guide on how to do Ibiza in 48 hours (and actually make your flight home. In one piece)...

Join the jet set on a Ibiza Weekender at Blue Marlin

Did you even go to Ibiza if you didn't end up at Blue Marlin? Tucked away in the beautiful Cala Jondal Bay in the Southwest of the island, Blue Marlin is the place to go on your Ibiza weekender and do some serious people watching, get yourself a lounger at the front near the jetty FYI and order the sushi platter for the dreamiest day. For the Ibizan fash pack this is the place to be seen. Its definitely the place to get your best holiday outfit on. Essentially if you’re after an unpretentious, but super beautiful crowd with upbeat tunes then this is your gig.

Party the night away at Pikes

No Ibiza experience is complete without heading to one of the island's most iconic spots... Pikes! There is no place like a Pikes party, you might not have visited but Im guessing you will have definitely heard of the Ibiza institution. Hello Club Tropicana!

Set in the hills of San Antonio, in a lush rambling garden, this 25 room hotel is a must do on your Ibiza weekender. Its always on our list of places to go for that intimate house party vibe with a super fun crowd. You cant fail to have a fun time here, especially thinking about what history the place has. If only those 500 year old Ibiza finch walls could talk eh! We say its a little bit of old skool Ibiza, true escapism and a welcome getaway from the crowded clubs. Its kicks off around 11pm, but get there early and get yourself a spot in the sprawling garden before heading to Freddies bar when the music starts heating up.

This Summer Pikes has launched their first ever Cocktail Club a 2 hour masterclass with 4 cocktails of your choice and we are here for it. Learn from the best with their master mixologist Tanja Mašić, the woman behind their ah-may-zing cocktail menu. Sign up here

Get a lounger at Ocean Beach Ibiza

Ahh, Ocean Beach Ibiza. The epic party destination favoured by well, pretty much anyone who knows a thing or two about how to party in style. If you didn't catch the epic Ibiza opening parties back in May, then you're in luck as pretty much every event at Ocean Beach Ibiza acts like it's the last party EVER on earth. Our tip? The only way you're (probably) going to last the OBI all day extravaganza, is by investing in a Veuve Clicquot orange bed so you can watch the surprise entertainment* whilst reclining in comfort.

*On our visit we had a flying glittery elephant circling the joint. So expect big things. Literally.

Recover with a roast at Pikes

It's summer, it's boiling, you're probs not getting your suggested water content for the day, and all you're craving is...? A roast, right? OK, so this isn't probably that high up on your must-have sustenance list after an all-day party at Ocean Beach Ibiza, but trust us, once you've tasted the infamous al fresco Pikes roast, you'll be converted. It's also worth nothing that this place was the setting for WHAM!'s Club Tropicana video (you know the pool) and for Freddie Mercury's 41st birthday bash back in 1987, apparently one of the most lavish parties ever to be held on Ibiza. So yeah, you might stay a bit longer than anticipated.

Sail to magical Es Vedra on a private yacht

There are definitely two sides to your Ibiza weekender, and while the party side and the chill out side can happily co-exist, to become fully immersed in the spiritual side of Ibiza, you need to visit Es Vedra. Best viewed by boat (or private yacht in our case), this beautiful, rocky island is said to be the third most magnetic spot on the planet (after the north pole and Bermuda Triangle) and is world-renowned for it's healing energy and power to inspire. If that's not really your deal, then just go for the picture, as the sail up to it is incredible.
