The site offers a full concierge service and luxurious spa featuring Spiezia therapies. Think of it as a switch-off from your 9-5 life: goodbye to your phone (if you wish), sugar spikes and that sluggish afternoon feeling.

Days start early with a smoothie using WelleCo’s Super Elixir followed by morning yoga on the terrace overlooking the lake or a mindfulness walk in the woods. You’ll receive a private consultation with a therapist who explores your specific needs and hopes = the ultimate experience that’s tailored to you. You’re always in good hands throughout the retreat; the Lakes by Yoo has collected the people at the top of their field to come and take care of you. There are physiotherapy sessions by the Bosworth Clinic who train GB Olympic athletes, strength training with a PT and mindfulness sessions with Amanda Barlow – a wellbeing wonder.

DINE AT: The retreat is headed up by plant-based foodie – and Instagram sensation – Bettina’s Kitchen. Every meal is prepared by Bettina Campolucci-Bordi and the dinners are interactive, which means you learn things to take back and implement in your busy life at home. Her approach to raw food is refreshing, inspiring and definitely encouraging. So much so that the detox programme still includes pancakes, hot chocolate and moreish desserts. You only have to look at Bettina once to be a plant-based convert. Her glow is infectious.

YOU REALLY MUST… Make the most of the outdoor activities. Aside from the retreat, you can fish, kayak, swim and zip-wire over the lake. It’s a case of whatever floats your boat – quite literally. All ages are catered for and that means smiles all round. Once you’ve been once you’ll soon realise it’s your home from home. Cue wanting to spend every weekend you can there…

WHEN? The next retreat runs on the 10-13th of November.

Prices start at £2,050 per person, based on four guests sharing for three nights. Additional treatments may be added and additional persons may be added at £1,450 per person, when sharing the same property. Prices include all food and drink.
