Have a work out with a difference at these seasonal pop-ups

Fed up of repetitive sessions at the gym? From rooftop hula hooping to natural swimming, banish boring work outs with one of these fitness pop-ups around the capital this summer.

Voga, Splash and Brunch

Combining three of our favourite things, this pop up until 17th September starts with a voga session (that’s a combination of yoga and vogueing FYI) by serious shape-throwers House of Voga. Afterwards, cool off with a swim in King’s Cross Pond – a natural bathing pool where plants keep the water clean instead of chemicals. Then it’s off to historic gym-turned-restaurant German Gymnasium for a healthy brunch, such as avocado and eggs or a tasty chia pot. And at £30, it’s pretty much a bargain, so book your tickets here.

HulaFit at The Berkeley

When did everyone start taking fitness so seriously? Add a little fun to the mix with one of the poolside pop-up hula hooping classes on The Berkeley’s rooftop. Taking place until 28th September, these classes burn up to600 calories an hour and teach you moves such as pirouettes, limbos and the twerk-inducing ‘booty bump’. Best of all? You get a dip in The Berkeley’s swanky pool afterwards. Tickets are available here.

Rooftop Yoga at Selfridges

Some might consider it dangerous to indulge in a spot of yoga above one of the country’s best shopping destinations. We, however, consider it an added perk. Not that you really need any more reasons to try one of Triyoga’s rooftop sessions atop Selfridges. These pop-up classes let you stretch into you sun salutations while admiring the views over the city. Afterwards there’s a healthy breakfast of avocado on toast to enjoy at the pretty Forest on the Roof restaurant. And a bit of shopping too, of course… Sign up for one of these classes until 30th August here.

Sweatlife

Ok, we admit it – Sweatlife is more of a day long festival of fitness than a pop-up, but with so much on offer in such a short space of time, we just had to include it. Hosted on 30th July by fitness gear gurus Lululemon, the day includes classes by Core Collective, Frame, GymClass and Xtend Barre, as well as a yoga rave with DJ Grandmaster Flash performing. There’s a whole area dedicated to protein professionals Neat Nutrition too. Book your tickets here.
