Think Pink this month and shop for Breast Cancer Awareness
As the leaves turn a more autumnal shade and countless pumpkins come out to play for Halloween, orange might be the colour most people associate with October. But this month there’s only one shade that’s on our radar: pink.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month – an initiative designed to raise awareness for the disease and support women with breast cancer. You’ve probably seen the pink ribbon before now – a symbol of the annual campaign to raise awareness for this devastating disease. But as well as wearing the ribbon, you can also show your support in another way: shopping.
This month, countless brands have given their products a pink twist in order to support many of the amazing breast cancer charities out there, such as Breast Cancer Now, The Haven, Breast Cancer Research and The Pink Ribbon Foundation.
Which means that you can get involved in the fight against breast cancer this month by shopping and raising money for the cause. From amazing scents to rose gold rings and just the prettiest paper stationery, there are loads of gorgeous special edition pink products to choose from, from your favourite brands, that will help you show your support.
While most people are aware of breast cancer today, we still have a long way to go until everyone understands how to detect the disease in the early stages. An estimated 1,000 women in the UK still die every month from this type of cancer, so supporting Breast Cancer Awareness this October is as important as ever. Coping with any cancer diagnosis is hard, but with the help of Breast Cancer Awareness we can work together to make that burden just a little bit easier.
