Neck massages could help bad blood pressure

Marie Claire Health: Neck and back pain Rex Features

Slouchers, beware! A study by the University of Leeds has found that bad posture caused bad blood pressure.

The neck sends signals to the brain, which helps maintain our blood pressure, health rate and breathing; a stiff neck can cause these signs to stop, raising blood pressure, which in turn doubles the threat of heart disease or a stroke.

However, scientists believe a regular neck massage can counteract the dangers. It may feel like an indulgence, but it could be a life-saver.

I have high blood pressure and will definitely try neck massages... If it helps to lower it.
