Two of Hollywood's hottest young style stars - Kristen Stewart and Carey Mulligan - both pulled out all the stops for their Oscar entrances, hitting the red carpet in dramatic dark gowns.

For the Twilight leading lady, a stunning Monique Lhuillier strapless number was her look of choice, while the lovely Ms Mulligan chose an embellished design from Prada.

I loved Carrie's dress, with the tiny scissors, so original, but i thought that Kirsten scrubbed up well and looked so much better than at the bafta's with a dress that suited her and done hair. She looked relaxed also.

Carrie looked fantastic in that dress, but the shoes were much to chunky. Kirsten is also very beautiful but her dress was meant for an older woman.
