The Hills star Lauren Conrad might be most famous for her reality TV squabbles, but yesterday at LA Fashion Week she proved she might have a future away from the cameras and on the catwalk instead.

Making a play for a little fashion limelight for the second season running, Conrad sent out a collection of floaty jersey maxidresses, sweet print shifts and some seriously covetable Fifties-style swimsuits.

Talking after the show, Lauren explained she'll never be filmed for The Hills working on the line, because it's the one thing in her life she wants to keep for herself.

'Yeah, you see all the other stuff I do like working at People's Revolution and, with them, I work backstage and get a lot of experience that way. But you'll never see me working on my personal line.'

Like it or not, though, it's her private life that really makes the headlines and today in the States it's all about her reconciliation with The Hills rival Heidi Montag, which took place at a dinner after the catwalk show.

After a few tears and hugs all round, Heidi said of her former enemy's fashion collection: 'It's a great line and I love Lauren so congratulations.'
