YSL S/S 2009
Friday 3rd October 2008
With Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer in the front row, Yves Saint Laurent designer Stefano Pilati set out to prove that his last collection – seen by many as the very best that the autumn/winter collections had to offer – wasn't a one hit wonder. YSL fans were not disappointed. Shapes this season were more fluid and the palette a little softer, but the trends were as defined as ever. Lattice-worked ankle boots were an original idea that could yet be the It-shoe of spring/summer '09, while the tailoring was as deft and desirable as always.
