Issey Miyake S/S 2009

Friday 3rd October 2008

The show: Issey Miyake
The inspiration: Natural colour from the rainforest and the city
The science: Eight jungle-inspired colour threads appeared as a warp throughout every single piece in the collection, while a rainbow of other hues acted as the weft.
The trends: Simple lines; ultra-fine fabrics; flat sandals or low-heeled ankle boots; silk cotton wrap dresses; faded neon shades; sheer kaftan-style tops and shifts worn over boy-short bikinis; a utilitary jumpsuit; colour blocking; feathers and snakeskin prints.
