Lacoste A/W 2007

Joie de vivre: Going back to the company's French roots, the collection appeared straight from le week-end on the Brittany coast. Complete with stripy tees, dark indigo jeans and the ubiquitous beret.

Setting the scene: Artistic director Christophe Lemaire loves a production. Rather than let the clothes speak for themselves, his inspiration was illustrated on a catwalk scattered with leaves, French magazine and book props, and even a yellow Citroen.

Ready to wear: The collection was awash with wearable and comfortable pieces such as knit minis, easy kimono coats and school girl blazers.
