From Kendall Jenner to Blake Lively, shoe designer Sophia Webster’s celebrity client list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood royalty and fashion insiders.

Shoe designer Sophia Webster’s celebrity client list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood royalty and fashion insiders.

There are the supermodels, from Kendall Jenner to Suki Waterhouse. There are the pop powerhouses like Rita Ora, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Solange Knowles. And then there are the award-winning actresses, from Lupita Nyong’o to Diane Kruger via Sarah Jessica Parker. Basically, whoever you are and whatever your style, Sophia’s got a statement pair of shoes ready for every red carpet occasion imaginable.

So why do the A-list love her so? Sophia’s designs are poppy and girly, yet cool and classic – think stiletto sandals covered in flamingos and butterflies, or genius wedding shoesadorned with sassy ‘Wifey For Lifey’ speech bubbles. One thing’s for sure, you can guarantee yourself some fashion fun when wearing her designs and, when your shoes are doing the talking, you hardly have to bother with the rest of your outfit.

The British designer only founded her label in 2012, but she’s already built quite the footwear empire from her Shoreditch studio, clocking up over 140 stockists around the world and expanding into trainers, bridal shoes and more. She started out as an apprentice to Nicholas Kirkwood before founding her eponymous shoe line and hasn’t looked back since, even scooping the British Fashion Award for Emerging Accessories Designer in 2013.

Emmy Rossum (left) loves her butterfly backed heels, Diane Kruger rates her quirky cage sandals, and Rita Ora wears her show-stopping gladiators on stage. But it’s Blake Lively, however, who is the designer’s biggest super fan. Blake’s got five+ pairs of Sophia’s candy-coloured heels already stacked up in her shoe wardrobe and we’d be willing to bet that she’s always on the lookout to build her collection further.
