But there's a catch

It's a little controversial, I know, but even though I thought Meghan Markle's Givenchy wedding dress was unbelievably chic and timeless, I think I preferred her second wedding dress by Stella McCartney.

There was just something about the flattering halterneck and the way the fabric flowed that was pure understated Hollywood glamour.

And if you agree with me, then I have some excellent news for you: you will soon be able to buy the exact replica of her evening gown, courtesy of Ms McCartney herself.

The designer has announced that she will be creating a limited edition collection, Made With Love, offering a select number of clients the opportunity to buy their own version of the custom design.

I say select, as there will only be 46 gowns in total, 23 in white and 23 in black, to celebrate the opening of the designer's new flagship store at 23 Bond Street.

Although the gowns will be made from sustainable viscose rather than silk crepe like the Duchess of Sussex's, they promise to be just as glamorous. And at a price tag of £3,500 each, they will be a tad more affordable too (see how much her actual wedding dress cost here).

So, how will you be able to get your hands on the sartorial golden ticket? Well this is where it gets tricky. You will need to email 23oldbond.store@stellamccartney.com and be lucky enough to receive a personal invitation to view the gowns in the new shop.

And if you're out of luck, don't worry, Stella McCartney is planning an extended bridal collection for 2019. Oh to get married again...

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
