Is Black Friday a good time to buy clothes?

In one word: yes. Sure, you can grab yourself some seriously good Yankee candle bargains or Dyson deals, but there are some amazing Asos black Friday clothing discounts to be had, including designers sales and Topshop deals.

Some will do up to 50% off sales on selected lines, while others will have discount codes to use on everything. So it's well worth waiting for Black Friday if you were thinking of buying a new coat/bag/[insert relevant fashion item here] anyway.

ALLSAINTS Black Friday

The high end retailer has started its ALLSAINTS Black Friday sale early! From now until the 1st of December, you can get 30% off everything on its site (excluding the Outlet). This includes the best-selling leather pieces like the leather biker jacket which is a must, as well as partywear, loungewear and coats. And don't forget they do menswear too so you can shop everything in one go.

Does Zara do Black Friday sales?

Yes, and there are huge savings to be had in the Zara Black Friday sale. While it’s too early to know what kind of deals it’ll offer for 2020, in previous years there has been a site wide sale of 20% to 30% off, so it wouldn’t be a massive shock if it was the same this year.

ASOS Black Friday

You can trust ASOS to have great discounts all year round, but the ASOS Black Friday sale is something else! Last year it had an incredible up to 70% off everything at the ASOS Black Friday deals event with discounts on brands like Topshop, FILA and All Saints.

Black Friday designer deals

There are so many great designer deals to be had this Black Friday, whether that's on Gucci, Ganni, Prada, Balenciaga or more. Keep your eyes peeled on our sales page to grab the bargains the fastest.

Penny Goldstone

Penny Goldstone is the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire, covering everything from catwalk trends to royal fashion and the latest high street and Instagram must-haves.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
