The BAFTAs 2014 rolled out its red carpet at The Royal Opera House in London last night, welcoming the movie industry’s most respected talent to the annual awards ceremony.
Hitting the grandiose venue, international film stars including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, Amy Adams, Helen Mirren and a whole host more slipped into their finest red carpet attire for the event.
Braving the cold in glorious gowns and dapper tuxedos, the evening’s fashion didn’t disappoint despite the weather. And for that, we thank you Hollywood.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie added some serious star power to the BAFTAs 2014, which is fast becoming one of the most celeb-packed soirees in the showbiz calendar. The Hollywood super-couple, who played style snap in matching tuxedo suits, put in a typically scene-stealing appearance, setting flashbulbs alight as they walked the red carpet.
Angelina Jolie stood out in a sea of red carpet gowns, daring to be different in a sharp Saint Laurent tux and dazzling Tiffany & Co. jewels. The screen siren, on hand to support Brad Pitt for hit flick 12 Years A Slave, let her locks long and loose, adding a subtle, smokey eye to finish her look.
Cate Blanchett looked cool, calm and collected as she walked the BAFTAs 2014 red carpet. The Australian actress, who scooped the coveted Best Actress award during the star-studded evening, chose a black satin Alexander McQueen gown for the occasion, accessorised with dazzling diamond Chopard jewels.
Rising starlet and Hollywood darling Lupita Nyong’o hit the red carpet in possibly our favourite look to date – a dazzling jade Christian Dior couture gown. The 12 Years A Slave beauty, who was nominated for several awards during the evening, accessorised her jaw-dropping gown with Ana Khouri gold cuffs, and Christian Louboutin heels. Gorgeous.
Best Actress nominee Amy Adams flew the flag for British fashion in a slinky black Victoria Beckham gown, complete with Peter Pan collar and trademark zip. The American Hustle actress, a regular on the awards circuit, accessorised with Louboutin heels, a Lanvin clutch, and Solange Azagury-Partridge jewels. A sleek sideswept updo completed her red carpet-worthy look.
Lily Allen added a serious pop of colour to the red carpet in an eye-catching Vivienne Westwood couture gown. Dividing fashion opinions in the pink and orange creation, the sassy british songstress added a statement pink hair accessory to finish her look. Wow.
Downton Abbey actress Laura Carmichael proved her fashion credentials once again as she hit the star-packed BAFTAs 2014 red carpet. The British beauty earned serious style snaps in a printed A-line Erdem dress, accessorised with statement heels.
Putting her enviable body on display, Uma Thurman certainly didn’t shy away from showing the cameras exactly what she’s got. The actress hit the red carpet in a slinky black Atelier Versace gown, Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, and Chopard jewels. And we think she looks fabulous.
Eddie Redmayne and girlfriend Hannah Bagshawe looked quite the stylish couple as they hit the star-studded BAFTAs 2014 red carpet. Making a rare joint red carpet appearance, the pair smiled for cameras, with Eddie looking incredibly dapper in a sleek Gucci suit.
