Marie Claire Fashion: PPQ A/W 2008 Mitchell Sams

Drawing the biggest crowd of the week to date, PPQ had a buzz surrounding it before a single model had even stepped onto the catwalk.

The front row was celeb packed (Lily Allen, the Geldof sisters, Kimberly Stewart and Sophie Ellis Bextor to name a few), as Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker set the mood with their manifesto to 'place your votes on the dance floor'.

This they certainly did, for a collection that is sure to be a hit on the London party circuit. Strapless minidresses, a signature PPQ style, were back this season, with full puffball skirts and plenty of colour, or ruffled hems in contrasting hues.

Spots, stripes and checkerboards made for a print heavy selection, that was characterised by vibrant brights and plenty of rock 'n' roll touches.

Like Luella before them, this fun and often witty collection will make PPQ a must-have label for London's movers and shakers.
