Marie Claire fashion news: Sass & Bide Autumn Winter 2008, New York Fashion Week

Australian design duo Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton, better known as Sass & Bide, brought an injection of exuberance and colour to New York Fashion Week this weekend with their autumn/winter 2008 collection.

Including all the signature Sass & Bide flourishes, plunging harlequin-inspired tunics sat alongside rainbow hued minidresses and tops featured plenty of embellishment, whether beaded, ribboned or ruffled.

The only thing missing was the usually ever-present skinny jeans, which initially made the duo's name. These were replaced with spray-on shirred leggings, to maintain their favoured silhouette.
