Catwalk Report: Narciso Rodriguez

DEFINITELY THE HOT ticket of the day, Narciso Rodriguez held his 10th anniversary show at Cedar Lake Studios – a theatre and concert venue in New York's artistic Chelsea district.
With a who's who of the fashion world scrambling for seats, the catwalk was arranged in an H shape, ensuring everyone got a good look at the clothes.
Already a celebrity favourite, Narciso is probably best known in the UK for providing the likes of Rachel Weisz and Sarah Jessica Parker with gorgeous, red carpet gowns. However, this spring show was less about showy eveningwear and more about well-cut, neat and precise day pieces.
Crafted with a nod to the Far East, the collection included kimono-style silk dresses, cotton shirts and sheer, silk slips.
Embellishment was kept to a minimum, save for a few tie-dye prints and two beautiful, georgette embroidered pieces, which helped close the show.
This wasn't fashion which screamed, 'Look at me, look at me!' Rather it whispered the words, and when we looked a little closer, everyone was entranced.
