Catwalk Report: Ben de Lisi

BEN DE LISI may not have had a red carpet hit in a while - once-loyal fan Kate Winslet now favours the likes of Valentino and Temperley - but he still holds a place in the heart of the British public, thanks to this Designers at Debenhams range and the British celebs who wear his designs.
At his spring preview, a few of the red-top favourites were in attendance: Freddie Flintoff's wife, Rachel, and premiership Wag Elen Rives, along with Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, who'd brought Fame Academy coach David Grant as her date.
The collection itself wasn't quite your average de Lisi fare, with unusual details including huge sequin discs used to cover short cocktail frocks and thousands of smaller sparkling black sequins clinging to sheath dresses, plus some interesting appliquéd tulle flowers.
Other hits amongst the standard pink chiffon evening gowns included some seriously sexy, plunge-fronted swimsuits, large floppy sunhats, which came courtesy of Heidi Klein, and the fabulous jewellery, created by Ben's long-term sponsor, Adler.
