WHEN A CELEBRITY chooses to wear a piece from your collection to a red carpet event, you know you've arrived. Christina Aguilera's appearance in a blush pink Ashley Isham gown at the Emmy Awards on Sunday evening cemented that fact.
The celebrity following continued on the front row at Ashley Isham's show with an array of stars from model/presenter Lisa Butcher and Erin O'Connor giving the designer the fashion thumbs up to Harry Potter star Katie Leung and loyal fan Michelle Collins.
Set in the Linbury Theatre within the Royal Opera House, the theatrical set was more of an installation with square mirrored glass pools and white podiums replacing the traditional runway.
Isham claimed in his notes that the collection was a 'hedonistic abandonment of the 1970s with a modernist futuristic twist' and set the tone with monochrome print shift and trench dresses featuring exaggerated collars, folds and pleating, cinched at the waist with wide black patent belts.
His signature fabric, liquid jersey, made an appearance with fluid, draping dresses bound to appeal to the celebrity contingent present.
Deep purple lips and flashes of bright orange and red eyeshadows paved the way for what was a finale spectacle. Foil and hologram dresses took the collection to another world and demonstrated Isham's flair for show-stopping pieces.
Floor length gowns of vinyl 'Post-Its' in royal blues and vibrant reds saw the models take to the podiums in a static display to round off the show and although rather unwearable, proved Isham's vision for a fantastical future.

Why is it soooo hard to find decent Tankini's, bikini's and other beachwear mad from foil materials or even harder to find: hologram material bikini's in a size 14 to 18?
I would be more than happy to pay whatever it costs to have one made and even advertise it myself for the bigger girl...My sister modeled for Black Beauty & Hair so...Please someone get this kind of stuff in the shops asap
