It was a veritable who's who of A-listers on the red carpet in New York last night, as Hollywood's most famous faces (not to mention designer royalty!), donned their most fabulous finery for fashion's biggest bash of the year - the Met Gala 2016.
This year, the exclusive benefit event – where attendees fork out an eye-watering $25,000 per ticket – celebrated the opening of a very special exhibition: Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology. And as per, the designers once again outdid themselves.
Beyonce made a grand entrance in a skin tight Givenchy gown, Taylor Swift turned heads with a futuristic Louis Vuitton dress and Kim channeled her inner vamp in silver sequinned Balmain number, while Kanye opted for a matching biker jacket and ice-blue contacts.
As always, the Met Gala red carpet did not disappoint with celebrities taking the theme provided and interpreting it in a number of different ways. And if you ever needed proof that this event is the fashion event to end all fashion events, just skip the gallery forward to Katy Perry, who looked other-worldly in her black and gold embroidered Prada gown and bleached brows.
