From Chanel to Balenciaga, Kristen Stewart’s style repertoire reads like a who’s who of fashion heavyweights.
From Chanel to Balenciaga, Kristen Stewart?s style repertoire reads like a who’s who of fashion heavyweights.
The actress is friends with all the best designers (Hi Karl Lagerfeld and Nicolas Ghesquiere) and is often spotted shopping for her next look on the front rows in Paris. Her favourite labels include Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga, and she usually chooses edgy mini length dresses and muted sparkle on the red carpet, over any cliché fashion silhouettes.
Kristen started her red carpet training young, first stepping into the spotlight to promote her 2001 film Panic Room, when she was just 11. And she’s hardly moved from the forefront of the industry since, graduating from sweet dresses to mega gowns before our very eyes.
It was in 2008, however that K-Stew hit the big time, landing a life-changing role as Bella Swan in the Twilight series. She met her leading man, Robert Pattinson, and the Twi-hard fans came out in force to scrutinise her every style choice on the global press tours.
When she’s off-duty, however, Kristen changes tack completely, and is more likely to be spotted in ripped denim, grubby Converse and a baseball cap than a ballgown. But the trick is in how she wears it. Her tomboy skinny silhouette always looks effortlessly cool and, let?s face it, we all wish we looked that good when we’d made no effort at all.

Kristen was spotted in her signature edgy aesthetic, as she walked the red carpet in a black leather top and skirt for Chanel’s ‘Paris in Rome’ collection in China. The actress sported her new platinum blonde ‘do, while giving her beauty look an extra bit of oomph with a bold red lippie.
Kristen was spotted in May 2016, as she helped her former Panic Room co-star Jodie Foster receive her much-deserved Hollywood star on the Walk of Fame, dressed in a sleek black leather skirt and Kurt Geiger London Bond heels.
She thinks she should be taller, but wont resort to wearing heels, saying: ‘I’m 5’6″. I feel like I should be taller. I feel like I’m smaller than my mental stature. I should be 5’10”. 5’10” would be very good.’
While she has the luxury of having designers fight to dress her, her favourite outfit ever was from Balenciaga (naturally, as she’s the face of their fragrance). She told Marie Claire: ‘I especially loved the outfit I wore to the German Twilight premiere, a see-through paneled skirt over tiny shorts. I was unbelievably cool. You could literally see f***ing everything.’
Continuing her recent string of fashion hits, Kristen Stewart hit the LA premiere in simple style, rocking a loose-fit black dress with sheer straps, her favourite black peep-toe heels, and natural-look locks. (27 June 2010)
Kristen Stewart had us all green with envy as she arrived at the NY New Moon screening in this gorgeous ruffled olive dress. Having donned a number of striking and stylish looks on the New Moon promotional trail, this is definitely one of our faves. (20 November 2009)
Never one to stick to your typical red carpet fashion rules, Kristen Stewart rocked a Yigal Azrouël autumn/winter 09 dress featuring red scales and sheer bodice detail to pick up the award for Best Female Performance at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, as well as Best Kiss for her smooch with co-star Robert Pattinson. And what about the grungy Converse trainers? We can forgive Kristen, the poor thing had twisted her ankle…
