Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Alexandra Burke were just three of the starlets who got their glad rags on to meet the Queen at this year's Royal Variety Performance.

We're willing to bet that the organisers of the Royal Variety Performance were probably slightly nervous as to what Lady Gaga would turn up wearing for her performance in front of the Queen - what with her having recently appeared at the Jingle Bell Ball in nothing put PVC underwear, and the X Factor dressed in a skintight metallic leotard and devil horns... But the songstress kept it covered-up for Her Highness, arriving dressed as Elizabeth I in this dramatic ruffle-neck gown. Although obviously, it had to have a Gaga twist, so the dress was made out of red latex, and teamed with dramatic dark red eye make-up...
