Margaret Howell A/W 2007
The look: Boyish Oxford shirts and knee-length school shorts, paired with menswear-inspired tweed, linen and wool in grown-up coats, trousers and jumpers.
Simple pleasures: Grounded in British tradition, brilliantly cut and crafted, these pieces have real staying power.
Women on the front line: Tightly coifed up-dos and military precision harkened the look back to the Forties during the war.
In her own words: 'Good working man's cloth cut for the traditional City gent,' or, in this case, lass.
