Clarks has come up trumps this spring with a selection of stylish - but most importantly, sole-saving - footwear.

My personal favourite? The Thai Run sandal.

In leg-lengthening tan, this sandal-shoe hybrid can be worn with everything from flirty floral tea dresses, to city-slick tailored shorts and downtime skinny jeans.

And for those of you not so fond of the lighter-hued footwear, the style also comes in failsafe black.

A future classic.
