It's always nice when fashion designers get behind good causes, especially when they are designers of a particularly high calibre like Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Picciolo.

So we were really pleased to hear that the creative directors of Valentino, were designing a T-shirt to raise money for the Francesca Rava Foundation who are helping with rehabilitation and medical programmes in Haiti and providing new lives for children affected by the Haiti earthquake.

What makes it even better is that unlike the usual slogan-based charity T-shirts, Valentino's is a delicate ruffled affair which will appeal to even the most discerning fashionista. Thumbs up all round.
