Alicia Keys is one of those stars that fluctuate between looking really good and really bad. This look for the MTV Video Music Awards is the latter. Our main issue is with the slick hairstyle. The form fitting dress could have been softened with loose hair, or at least a more feminine style, but as a result the whole style is far too harsh. (09 September 2007)
