John Rocha

John Rocha SS08

John Rocha first hit the fashion radar in the early 1980s, when his Dublin based Chinatown label first earned him a following. Born in Hong Kong, he had moved to London in the seventies to study fashion, and ended up in Ireland after taking an interest in the country's linen whilst making his final collection.

He quickly became renowned for his delicate and romantic style, particularly his use of beading, appliqué and handcrafted embellishments.

Rocha's range has grown to include jewellery, jeans and a diffusion line for Debenhams.
