Julien Macdonald

Julien Macdonald's catwalk shows have become a highlight of the London fashion week calendar, known for their spectacle, high celeb count and abundance of glitz and glamour. Since Macdonald started his own name line in 1997, he has been famous for his sexy slinky gowns that have adorned a host of starlets, from Jennifer Lopez, to Lindsay Lohan, Christina Aguilera and Dita Von Teese.

Although he may be known for his glitzy own label, Macdonald had a stellar fashion CV before started to design under his own name. On graduating from the RCA he was hand-picked by Karl Lagerfeld to head up knitwear for both Chanel and Lagerfeld's own line.

From 2001 to 2004 he also worked as creative director for Givenchy, and was awarded was an OBE in 2006 for his contribution to the British fashion industry.
