Biba

Biba A/W 2007

Quite simply the epitome of Sixties style.

As iconic in its time as Mary Quant, Twiggy and Carnaby Street, the label brought cutting-edge fashion design to the masses and reinvented the idea of what a fashion boutique should look like.

With its chic, black and gold logo and new dress shapes (the smock dresses might have itched like hell, but anyone who was anyone worn them), Biba looked like it would live forever.

However, the Seventies brought a whole new look, and new management, which saw Biba's fortunes flounder.

Fast-forward a few decades and in 2006 the label was relaunched with designer Bella Freud at the helm.
