Gucci
One of those household fashion names, Gucci was founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence in 1906.
Famous past designers for the line include Tom Ford and Alessandra Facchinetti, but it is Frida Giannini who today hold the prestigious position of creative director.
Signature pieces include Ford's sultry, body-hugging cocktail dresses and the double G logo, which appears on boots, bags and all manner of other accessories.
