This is the show we all want a part on...

Forbes have released its annual list of the world’s highest paid TV actors for 2016, and it turns out that the Big Bang Theory is the show that the whole word wants to work on.

Yes, for a second year in a row, Jim Parsons – who plays Sheldon Cooper on the hit show – topped the highest earning TV actor top spot with his $25.5 million earnings. Calculated from June 1, 2015 to June 1, 2016, the staggering amount may be slightly eye-watering for us regular workers whose daily Americano intake is crippling us financially, but it’s not just Sheldon that’s raking in the big bucks.

Three of Jim’s fellow BBT members also secured top spots on the Forbes list, with Johnny Galecki who plays Leonard Hofstadter in second place with $24 million, Simon Helberg who plays Howard Wolowitz in third place with $22.5 million and Kunal Nayyar who plays Rajesh Koothrappali in fourth place with $22 million. Yeah, so how do we get a spot on this show?

We’re still waiting for the new Forbes highest paid TV actress list to be released, but as of last year The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco AKA Penny is one of the wealthiest woman on TV, sharing the top spot with Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara, each earning $28.5 million between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015.

It was reported last year that the Big Bang actress, along with her co-stars Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki, signed new contracts for another three years on the CBS show at equal rates. That rate being $1 million per episode.
