And neither is Donald Trump...

Melania Trump never fails to make viral news, but this past month must have set a new record.

Firstly, there were the photos of the First Lady living her best life with Barack Obama, then the ginormous hat that she wore to meet French President and First Lady, Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron, which some saw as a not-so-subtle cry for help.

In mid May however, things really got to peak level as the First Lady caused viral news for a different reason, as it was announced that she had unexpectedly been admitted to hospital.

The White House confirmed that the 48-year-old had been taken to hospital to undergo surgery for a benign kidney condition, and Donald Trump tweeted to announce that his wife was doing well.

While the First Lady wasn’t expected to be seen for a while, rumours started spreading when Melania was noticeably absent for almost a month, not seen or heard from in 20 days.

The rumours spreading the internet ranged from family troubles to death, with Melania actually breaking her 20-day silence to call an end to the speculation.

‘I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing,’ she tweeted. ‘Rest assured, I’m here at the White House with my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!’

Now Melania is back, and neither she nor her husband seem too happy about the rumours while she was away.

‘They reported everything from near death, to facelift, to left the W.H. (and me) for NY or Virginia, to abuse,’ Trump announced. ‘All Fake, she is doing really well!’

Later, the President and First Lady appeared together at a hurricane briefing in Washington and Donald Trump certainly had a lot to say about the ‘vicious, fake’ rumours.

‘She’s doing great. She went through a little rough patch but she’s doing great,’ Trump announced at the briefing. ‘We’re very proud of her. She’s done a fantastic job as first lady.’

He continued: ‘The people of our country love you, so thank you, honey.’

Unfortunately, the internet is even more suspicious than ever as Melania Trump stayed silent for the entire briefing.

What does it all mean?!
