And it could be because of the eye-watering price that she's asking for...

At some point, many of us have had to find someone to rent or sub-let our apartment, and it’s not always been easy. Well, we’re not the only ones. Ivanka Trump isn’t having any luck renting out her apartment either, reported The Cut, and the price she’s asking for it explains everything.

Of course, this isn’t just any old apartment. It’s a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo at the renowned 502 Park Avenue address in New York City, complete with two marble bath tubs… because who doesn’t need two marble bath tubs, right?

According to StreetEasy, in November, the assistant to the President’s apartment was listed at $15,000 a month. However, in February, it went down to $13,000. And the other day, on September 26th, the price went down again — to a mere $10,450. Perhaps if you and many, many, many friends chip in, it’ll be affordable?

If we do the maths, that’s a 30% decline in price since last November for the Upper East Side abode. And you may be thinking what we’re thinking: Is the reason no one’s renting Ivanka’s place, and the reason the price keeps dropping, the fact that her father is in office? Or is it just the neighbourhood, which is not the easiest housing market?

According to Bloomberg, the median rent for Manhattan luxury units was $8,000 last month, so Ivanka’s asking price is a bit steep. Plus, there’s that whole her-dad-is-the-president-of-the-United-States thing. So for better or worse, whomever rents the condo can be living in a space where Trump may have visited his daughter at some point.

Fun-and-fascinating fact: Back in 2004, Ivanka purchased the condo for $1.5 million, according to Bloomberg. So if we think about it, $10,450 seems like a steal. Though Ivanka’s condo definitely gives us serious house goals, for now, we’re going to stick to a place that’s more within our budget.
