Ben Affleck just said the sweetest thing about Jennifer Garner

Aww!

Ben Affleck Jennifer Garner

Aww!

It's been 18 months since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their split but the pair have obviously remained close. In an interview with the New York Times, Ben called Jennifer 'the greatest mom in the world.'

The pair have three children together, Violet, 11, Seraphine, 7, and Samuel, 4. And, Ben went on to describe the most defining moment of his life as the birth of his children, saying, 'It's a joy to hang out with them. I think the meaning of life is to make good people.'

And, it looks like Ben Affleck's son already has some very high profile friends, despite only being four years old. Celebrity BFFs are pretty common in the world of the A-list, but we reckon this particular friendship is going to seriously impress you.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Ben revealed that his son recently had a play date with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. During a trip to London, he took his youngest, Samuel, to an indoor play area, and apparently, it took the actor a little while to realise that the young British Royals were there, too.

'When it was raining, I took my youngest to one of those kids indoor play parks' he said on the show. 'It was pretty empty and then I noticed this weird vibe from the other grown-ups. They were all very well dressed and they had ear pieces, and I thought, "For a kids place this has tight security!"

'I was the very last person to realise that Prince George and Princess Charlotte were in there playing with my kid.'

Samuel is Ben Affleck's youngest son with his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner, from whom he separated last year. The couple had been married for ten years before separating.

While this royal encounter was a pretty memorable moment for Ben and his youngest son to look back on when he's older, apparently the play date left Samuel a little under the weather. The star added jokingly: 'I can now tell him that he got a cold from the King of England!'

That's a pretty cool story to be able to tell your child when they grow up, no?

We wonder whether this friendship will be a lasting one.
