The British model is set to dominate Fashion Week again this year, and here's why we can't get enough of Ms Delevingne
Cara Delevingne will be everywhere during Fashion Week this year. The 20-year-old has already walked for Karl Lagerfeld at the stunning Chanel show at Couture Fashion Week in Paris and we can expect to see a lot more of the British Fashion Council’s model of the year in the month to come. Here’s why we can’t get enough of Ms Delevingne…
We like our eyebrows like we like our men: dark, strong and well-groomed. Cara’s power brows rock our world and are trend-setters in their own right.
The model only hangs out with the creme de la creme of the cool Brit hipster set. Think Rita Ora (who Cara calls her ‘wifey’), Nick Grimshaw, Alexa Chung, Georgia May Jagger, Coco Sumner and Pixie Geldof. We want to be in Cara’s gang.
Cara owns many, many animal onesies and isn’t afraid to be seen in public wearing them. Atta girl.
She is a tinker, a hoot and a downright silly billy. How many other superstars would you see behaving like this, at the British Fashion Awards, no less. Cara is refreshingly balmy.
When she’s not wearing Burberry – she has been the face of the brand’s last few campaigns – Cara is seen out on the town in what’s becoming her signature kooky style. The model seems to favour novelty jackets, skinny jeans and off-the-wall glasses.
No one we know, model or otherwise, has such an amazing array of photo faces. Follow Cara on Twitter (@Caradelevingne) for more of the same.
Cara flew the flag for British modelling talent at this year’s Victoria’s Secret show, along with Jourdan Dunn.
Speaking of the Victoria’s Secret show, her shocking pre-catwalk confession made us fall head over heels in love with her. She said: ‘I
had McDonald’s for lunch and pizza for dinner. I need to eat a lot
otherwise I feel faint – I get in the worst moods if I don’t eat.’ We hear ya.
Funny faces aside, Cara can pull of the meanest of pouts when she needs to, making her a force to be reckoned with in the modelling world.
We love the way Cara’s childhood friend, Georgia May Jagger, describes the model: ‘Cara’s a massive tomboy and not very fabulous at all! I mean, obviously she is, but I see her in a completely different way. I know her as a she really is, which is funny and wearing, oh, some kind of jumpsuit. And making weird faces. She doesn’t care about looking pretty.’
If there’s a dancefloor, Cara will be on it.
Along with onesies, Cara has a great affection for beanies and is rarely spotted without one atop of her pretty head.
Despite both competing in the same industry, Cara has nothing by love for older sister Poppy Delevingne. She said: ‘Poppy has always been so supportive of me. It was strange in the beginning with both of us working in the same industry, but she has helped me and is always there for me with advice. It helps that we are similar people, we are very close.’
Cara made her movie debut in Joe Wright’s version of Anna Karenina, alongside Keira Knightley and Jude Law. She played Princess Sorokina, who Count Vronsky (who was played by Aaron Johnson and had an affair with Keira’s character, Anna), took a liking to.
