Last weekend welcomed the 44th year of Glanstonbury Festival. Aside from catching the headlining acts, we had our eyes on Instagram to keep up with what all our favourite festival-loving celebs were up to. And of course, they didn't disappoint...
In true British style, mud and rain didn’t stop our favourite celebs partying hard at Glastonbury 2014 over the weekend – and Instagram and Twitter have the pictures to prove it.
As well as having a seriously good time (if their Instagram feeds are anything to go by!), style icons Daisy Lowe and Alexa Chung looked amazing throughout the weekend.
We loved the behind the scenes snippets celebs like Rita Ora gave her followers, posting pictures from backstage at Paolo Nutini and Rudimental.
And our favourite presenters didn’t disappoint either with Fearne Cotton capturing several playful selfies with Amanda Byram, Lilah Parsons rocking serious festival style, and Greg James sporting some rather more questionable Glastonbury attire.
See what else they got up to at #Glasto2014 with our pick of our favourite celebrity social media posts from the weekend…
Left: It might not be weather appropriate, but who cares when you have a silver playsuit? Alexa got the mood spot on in a silver spaghetti strap playsuit on day one of her Glasto weekend.
Lucky Nick Grimshaw chose flying as his method of transport to Glastonbury this year. Posting a seriously cool snap to Instagram, he wrote: ‘Glasto here we come! @francutler and I will parachuting in over the pyramid stage in about 45 minutes.’ Now that we’d like to see…
If anyone was going to pull off cowgirl chic while listening to Paolo Nutini backstage, it would be Rita Ora. And the Scottish star was ‘killing it’ according to her. Jealous.
The Rudimental boys looked ready for action, posting a lively group shot on Instagram, accompanied by the caption: ‘#Glasto we’re coming for ya! #Rudimentalculture.’ Wow.
Edgy as ever, Lana Del Rey showed her support for headlining act Metallica with a moody sepia shot.
Presented without comment, Fearne Cotton posted a picture of cheeky-chap Greg James in what looks like some sort of bird-themed onesie. Not our favourite outfit of the weekend, but we love this mischievous Radio 1 DJ all the same…
This Instagram pic from MTV presenter Lilah Parsons couldn’t be any more festival-esque. Band tee? Check. Paper cup? Check? Cheating a better stage view by being lifted onto a hunky man’s shoulder? Check. Good work, Lilah.
It seems like all the fun has taken its toll on model Mary Chareris. The sleepy super lounged about in the sun in her printed EKat catsuit – also spotted on Sienna Miller and Rita Ora over the weekend.
Since that epic selfie at the Oscars this year, the more people you can fit into one lens shot the better in the celeb world. Not bad, Alexa.
‘Story of my glastonbury’. We feel you Caroline Flack, we feel you. If only we had a strong man at hand (or foot, even) in our time of need.
As soon as Fearne Cotton posted this picture to Instagram, we fell in love with her floral-embroidered denim jacket. Can we borrow, please?!
Lila Parsons was clearly VERY excited about her Glasto weekend…
Mcbusted star Dougie Poynter showed his support for girlfiend Ellie Goulding by sporting a t-shirt with a picture of her face on it. The songstress shared the snap, with the caption: ‘Found a fan.’ Aww.
Fearne Cotton and Amanda Byram were are at it again pulling thier ‘excited’ faces for a selfie. Good work girls.
Now this is a trio we wouldn’t mind sharing a tent with. Daisy Lowe cuddled up to Sam Smith while Jessie Ware pulled faces for this groupie, captioned: ‘ Glasto real time family #nofilter @jessieware @samsmithworld.’
Henry Holland put his creative eye to good work capturing an arty snap at the perfect time, writing ‘Glasto road kill’. Nothing like nap in a field after a weekend of raving, eh?
Playing for the first time at Glastonbury this year, Clean Bandit looked pretty pleased with themselves after their storming perfomance… and rightly so. Brilliant.
Living it up backstage, Rita Ora showed her support for Rudimental, snapping waiting fans as they prepared to hit the stage.
A pink wig from Mary Charteris and a pout from Theo Hutchcraft? Instragram approves.
Adorable doesn’t even cut it. Lily Allen shared a snap of her two girls at Glasto, captioned: ‘Glastonbury Crew this year. Mum’s on the Pyramid at 6:30 but we’ll be in the dance tent, obvs.’ We bet these little ones have some killer moves, too.
Smiling as ever, the gorgeous Ellie Goulding posted a zany backstage snap, captioned: ‘This is what we’re working with today.’ We’re sure you were great nontheless, Els…
