Everything we know about the BRIT Awards 2017 so far

We round up all the intel as it happens, from the date of the big night to who's hosting the award ceremony

The 2017 BRIT Award Nominations were announced by Emma Willis this weekend, with performances from national treasure Craig David and French badass Christine and the Queens. And, Skepta and Little Mix dominated the list with three nominations each. And, the crowd seemed happy that posthumous nominations for David Bowie, as well as Leonard Cohen, were in place this year. In other news, Beyoncé and Solange are both up for the International Female Solo Artist category – but that’s hardly surprising considering how much talent runs through their veins.

You might have to wait until February 22 for the actual BRIT Awards, but here’s what you need to know now…

When are the 2017 BRIT Awards?

Next year’s awards will be held on Wednesday 22nd February. Mark it in your calendars!

Who is hosting the 2017 BRIT Awards?

Michael Bublé will host the 2017 ceremony which has definitely shaken things up this year as Michael will replace usual hosts Ant and Dec as the presenter for the evening.

Speaking about his upcoming position as the host for the evening, Michael said: ‘It’s a huge honour for me to host such a big night in music. Even though I didn’t grow up as a Brit I’ve always been well aware of The BRIT Awards and their impact globally. As a fan of music this is the perfect gig. I’m very much looking forward to February and celebrating the success stories of a great year in music.’
