My Mylk shake brings all the boys...

I have taken to mooching around the streets of St Germain on the weekends, trying to avoid the tourists and do plenty of BCBG eye candy shopping (not sure what the literal translation is into English - think Sloane boys but with better dress sense and less bluster, but still plenty of self-entitlement and good hair). As with coffee, I like the idea of a BCBG boyfriend, but in reality anyone who lives in the 16th or talks about how they're from a 'good family' makes me want to slap them. And the thing with BCBG boys is that they expect all the French girls.Needless to say my feisty Derby girl attitude gets more than a little bit lost in translation.

So look but don't touch is the mantra. So long as  I remember not to smile it's getting ever easier to do the haughty thing, well except when I have food in my hair, which as everyone who has ever seen me eat knows is pretty much 24/7. Ah la classe!

In the meantime, I just discovered Mylk The brainchild of Constance and Mathilde Lorenzi, Mylk is a new deluxe dairy full of low-fat frozen yogurt and Isabel Marant-clad girls with a secret recipe of the yummiest fro-yo in town, devised by Parisian photographer and chef Gabrielle Jones. The lovely Mademoiselle Jones incidentally once gave me the best advice about BCBG boys "You just have to act like you adore them but at the same time, you could also be adoring someone else they don't know about". Ahh that blend of jealousy and infatuation that the French fall for every time. On adore ca (we love it).

Anyway, Mylk takes the concept of a chic tea salon but with a modern twist. Think  Kusumi detox cakes, delicious frozen yogurts and mini-macaroons. They've just opened another one on rue Caumartin in the 9th as well and I am predicting something of a stampede. After all, infatuation is a dish best served cold, right?

I like the headline.
Unfortunately I missed the mylk shops when I was in Paris. I will do it next time. Nice article!

Hi Isabel, great article on my friends. They made a special (and very good) yoghurt and a cake with our Kusmi Detox (not Kusumi...)
Hugs from Paris!
