This is what French girls look like....

This is really what all French girls look like in the Marais. Well except that they have heads and usually they're not shot by Juergen Teller. But a little bit of sun and suddenly everyone has honey toned limbs and model-esque thighs. And I am supposed to like these girls? Mais oui. I have a sense that despite still having the French language skills of a ten year old child (Le Petit Prince is the new Sartre, doncha know?) my English is starting to sound like Garance Dore in translation. And There You Have It.

Mais serieusement, can a pale (read washed-out, read needs-to-eat-her-vegetables) English girl really wear the new neutral and nude shades for spring? I adore (J'adore ca, see told you I was talking Franglais) all that buttery caramel leather but surely it's a look that only works on equally buttery caramel-toned skin? The little brown leather bag though is certainly on that wish-list - just as soon as I find my rich financier who lives in the Sixteenth and will take me to the Prescription cocktail club.

In the meantime, apparently if I DJ again at Pop In there will be free pastis (Think the taste of toothpaste in liquid form - and they say the French are unhygenic!). Well that's three euros per glass to put towards the leather dress... time to break out the faux tan, peut-etre?

Have your say ...

I think the marais is like south kensington in london. everyone is a little bit thinner and blonder and more tanned the rest of london. must be money.. but leather in summer is never good!

Great dress, can never have too much leather. But french girls always wear black don't they even in summer?!
